Today I see in the news the upload from Lettertile ...
Interesting game, but look at Wu Lung ... the same puzzle screen with other charaters?

"Szechuan" (also knows as "Shanghai") is the famous chinese solitaire played with the mahjong 144 tiles. Claimed to be the oldest game with complex rules in the world's history, the starting patterns are well known, and some are traditionally inspired by certain animal's shapes. You can notice the same pattern on screen in Wu Lung, and in several versions of this kind of game: arcade -> http://www.mmwan.com/upload/200410211436.jpg gameboy -> http://www.juegomania.org/Shanghai/fotos/gameboy/0/716/Foto+Shanghai.jpg c64 -> http://62.168.142.47/~lemon/games/screenshots/full/shanghai_02.gif ...and so on.

RĂ¼diger's statement is almost correct though. They are similar puzzle screens with different tiles. Maybe you were implying that it's a stolen + reskined game? A quick glance over the code in monitor proves otherwise.
