Carniwor Demo link fixed (the filename had a "v" instead of a "w"). Silence is around 1993. Unless Unreal remembers, our only other hope is to scan through the mags from that time (most notably Terror News), and find the first issue that mentions it in the news, or lists it in the toplist.
No you really got me curious: why on earth would you be asking this though (about Silence).
(BTW, if you put two square brackets around a software's name, like this [[Silence]] it will be automatically linked.)

Emucamp's link to the demo has been repaired.
Yes, the rulez.org version was broken, tnx. Csabo got another version and didn't tell me

Hm, Csabo: Silence is like a black pearl to me. I didn't knew this demo for a long time. It's voted not very high but assuming it's been made in 93 it's ASTONISHING. If i should guess the release date, i would say: not before 95 (concerning style and quality of the effects)

I talked with Luca and I rememeber when Silence was released!!!!
Its released at the same EVS party at Szeged in 1993!!!
Amiga Mania was the winner, the second was the Silence Megademo!

That reminds me, eventually we should add some records for the parties.
Silence is definitely very cool. I guess the name justifies no music, but this can't be done again (i.e. you need to have music in a demo. Unless it's Silence II ). I was surprised it was mentioned because it's specifically mentioned in one of the scrolltexts of our upcoming megademo.
The 12th place on the toplist is justified. However, the toplist still desparately needs votes. I can't believe TLC's First Demo still hasn't gathered the necessary 5 votes to appear on the list.
