Yeah, it has a certain charm. I mostly agree with what you said. Looking at it from 2024 is completely different than having this back in the day.

Back in my childhood, I had no exposure to the original. Therefore, I had no problem with how this interpretation played. Gave me truly happy hours. It deserves full marks from me.
