Well, after a quick search, it looks like the ceramic ACIA seems pretty rare.. I'll get a regular one and put this aside, just in case...

This has been covered before but I long forget the story behind them. Hopefully some one else will answer but for now...

I do recall they are not rare. These chips were sometimes used as replacements I recall by computer shops that fixed them. Some people believe them to be better, more heat resistant for example but I kinda recall that wasn't the case.

 TED and 6551 ceramic

Hi,

I got my first +4 ( I already own some C16 and C64. ) I decided to crack open the hood and found this. I made some research for the 6551, ceramic version. but I did not found anything. It also look that the TED ceramic gold is quite rare ?
