Re: Userport emulation via Yape on PC

Most probably not. Using user port on the plus/4 is "bit-banging", requires tight timing. USB hardware and drivers stream data and do event processing which will miss a lot of user port events or run out of the timing window.
Generally USB hardware cannot be used for Commodore hardware emulation (including for example xu1541 adapters which can be fast reacting enough for standard DOS routines but not for fastloaders). The only exception are probably the human interface devices (keyboards, mice, controllers) where the emulator translates the input events to plus/4 hardware wires.

Userport emulation via Yape on PC

Hi All,

was wondering if I can use a USB serial or parallel port converter on PC running yape to emulate +4 user port I/O?
