 Re: Frutty Man

Thanks. I like this game. It is not just to run and to jump, it has logic. happy I even try it with the spotted compiler - http://litwr.atspace.com/frutti-man-compiled.prg - it's become too fast to play...

 Re: Frutty Man

Thats happened to me if i take the warp mode to on. I think the var memory overwrites the charset. But, why did you take the warp mode on? The game runs okay for a BASIC game.

Edit:
The Commodore 64 version runs well without the charset bug. I will fix the +4 version.

Edit#2:
I fixed the +4 port and it runs little faster. And, i took the C16 titlescreen for that version. I tested this version (+4) with WinVICE and WARP mode. No errors or corrupt charset, now. :)

 Re: Frutty Man

Plus4 version is buggy and unplayable. Just start, move frutti man to the safe place, toggle the emulator full throttle, wait about 3 minutes. The game will crash then.

Cool! I just added them to Plus/4 World.

Should we add 1942 demo and Mini Mario Land from your home page too?

 Re: Frutty Man

Wow, very nice.. Can't get over screen 1 at a first try happy.. However that's awesome for a basic game (atleast for me), even the graphical presentation is nice on the dedicated plus/4 version. Good job!

 Re: Frutty Man

New update to the Commodore Plus/4 version:

- final version
- changed to multicolor graphics
- stretched game from 20 to 40 chars (and the gameplay, too)
- extended the charset
- added STOP funktion to titelscreen or from titlescreen to end

The screenshots at first post (Plus/4) are new.
Have fun...

 Re: Frutty Man

I tested it on my Commodore 128 and works on both displays - VIC-IIe (40) and VDC (80 columns).
Also one member of our forum created Boulder Dash for VDC display and whole level fits to screen 80x50 characters. Of course, half size of VIC-II(e) version... But it's simple text version happy

 Frutty Man

At Forum64, we talk about BASIC games and CPC. Anybody had the idea how to port BASIC games from Amstrad/Schneider CPC to a Commodore 8-Bit computer. Hexworx will port this game to Commodore 64.

I ported this game to Commodore 16/116 with 16KB ram and an extended version for Commodore Plus/4 (new chars). Both version are identical except the chars. The 16KB version (C16/116) work on a Commodore 128, too!
