@chronos I can only guess you are refering to example .psd file from original tutorial by dan Fessler. If so then it's correct it only has two color ramps. blue is one of them and you will always get bluish results. you should build your own color gradient/color ramp. it's top most layer in layers stack.

Really nice ones! I like the Plus/4 versions' colors even better
( Only the mouse-men lips colors and the flowers seemed to be sacrificed, but strangely, the white looks too white to white, haha! Maybe the breast reflection could be limited a little, that would be more realistic (I think in the original it was overdone too, looks little too plastic and not a real skin, with all respect to LAZUR, he is my fav from Amiga) )

I've tried with CS4 (portable) and it seems like working.. btw, if you have size concerns (adobe bloatware) you can obtain portable versions as i did (CS6 portable is about 400 megs "installed") ..and i can provide it if you want to test out (strictly for testing purposes)..

Nice results! Any idea about from which version does Adobe PS know all the required features? The technique is similar to mine I usually do in Paint Shop Pro 7 (reducing resolution, then apply a Posterize effect, etc.)

@chronos
it's for every resolution and aspect ratio you want. adjustment layers is a thing that started in PS few versions back and it really is main feature that makes this method possible.

Great stuff, nice article! very very nice girls, and that photoshop technique is also brilliant. i had only one problem with photoshop : too many functions i prefer something simlier, though such things are not possible with them.

Wow that's awesome! The colours in the picture are in a world of it's own, it's not 8bit nor 16bit but some where in the middle the likes we don't normally see. Lets see a C64 get out of that one.

| New pixeling technique with Photoshop
First of all - I can't log in to post under my real name.
I experiment with pixeling for C+4, a lot! Lately I've found on the web a method to do it with Photoshop. Results are amazing IMO.
just take a look: http://crrnpixels.tumblr.com/post/89843863323/using-photoshop-for-pixeling
or more examples here http://crrnpixels.tumblr.com/
plus/4 executable in the first blog post.
Oh and I moved to tumblr
