They are tricky to find. I bought around 25 from China a couple of years ago and about 50% worked. All the ones i was willing to part with have now gone to deserving homes. They do still crop up in evil-bay, but they usually for around the 15-20€ mark in Europe.
I'm sure there is still suppliers with some in a dusty cupboard, bit your best best is to buy a couple of none working c16's/plus 4's off evil bay and take your chances. You have a 50/50 chance that a broken one has a good CPU.

| Where to buy MOS 7501/8501?
Some friends of mine want to resurrect some old, dead C16s and plus/4s, but they are not able to find any supplier of MOS 7501 or MOS 8501 CPUs. Any of you have any idea where to get those old CPUs or other chips to the C16s and plus4s?
Thanks in advance,
P.
