No, that's just a catchy name; it has nothing to do with the VIC chip inside the C= computer. In fact, it should be able to connect to a Plus/4's user port. (To make it fit, you'd have to get a Dremel tool and shave off one or two millimeters off right side and the left side of the male user port connector on the VIC-VODER... something which I have not done yet with my VV.)

You can buy the kit for $32 US (but you have to provide your own Raspberry Pi, which is the heart of the VV). For other purchase options, see

The VIC-VODER is transparent to the system, i.e., it does not eat up any system RAM. In fact, the VV has its own RAM. For more details, go to

An interesting find.
VIC-VODER interface for VIC based computers.
Why it need VIC, if connected to user port and just needs Print#'1?

BTW it is an interesting HW stuff, although our speech PRGs produce similar quality without the bill of 129 USD happy But to fair enough, does not work without eating up 30K RAM.

Might be cool if you have the space and have a need for it. The first link is no guarantee your actually get it. Some sellers with such low feedback and who are selling unique items, or a one off worth a lot may never send the item and do a runner with your money. Your then left waiting two weeks for ebay to give you your money back... The same can happen if they don't get the amount they wanted for it. ebay will pay you back though.

Yeah love looking at the games like this. Lots of fond memories and good games too. Covers have a story of their own and seeing them like this is like looking at a cake shop window. grin
