Jim Drew wrote on a different forum --
The SCP has a USB interface and two serial interfaces. It is possible to write control software to duplicate a disk using just a low speed serial interface... So you could write a simple program for a [Commodore 8-bit] that copies [the]i disk or create a disk image. So, yes, the SCP can be PC-less.

| Jim Drew and SuperCard Pro
Jim Drew, veteran programmer and hardware developer, has opened up his new website-- http://www.cbmstuff.com
Still a work in progress, his website right now offers the SX-64 Ultra Reset and the much-awaited SuperCard Professional, touted to be better than a Kryoflux board at reading/copying and writing floppy disks from virtually any computer platform.
