marcos64: good point To vote , you have to be registered and logged. Pleas write here a valid email address and I'll add your registration. You can also redirect me to an 80x80px avatar for you, I'll add it too.

I've tried to vote but I don't find a way to do it. Perhaps it's my browser (I use Opera) ?

We could probably use an external service for download count and hopefully they provide a stats page url what we can include on the p4world pages beside the download links. Just an idea, will google that later.
UPDATE:
Here is an option: http://dstats.net

Sorry guys, but it's unlikely that this will be implemented. First, it's not really a true measure of anything. The extra database space and queries, plus the code would just add bloat with ultimately very little gain.
We do have this implemented on some odd pages, e.g SVS's Ultimate Rom Map (find it under Tools). There's a counter for page views and downloads... But I don't know if any conclusions can be drawn from looking at either one of those numbers.
I do appreciate that you guys are thinking about site usability though, so I hope this is not discouraging. If you have good ideas, keep 'em coming

Would be a nice feature, we would be able to see how many downloads versus votes
