Right
By the way, I build an internal "audio in" port for the external audio. It's similar to the CD AUDIO IN and AUX IN ports, which can be found from the PC sound cards. I.e. you can use standard CD-ROM drive audio cable to connect an external audio source.
Here is a before and after photo: https://picasaweb.google.com/104346888035058255078/CommodorePlus4#5769088487145154514 Not a pretty sight but it works

Cool. All you need now is a remix of Gold Runner for Xeo3 to get you started.

Thanks TLC! I managed to connect a CD-ROM drive (analog audio output) to the Plus/4 video connector's audio input and it really did work! When using a maximum volume setting, TED sounds were much louder than the external audio. Adjusting the volume affected only to the TED sounds, just as you said.

eh, that would make easy Xeo background music! Just add a 8cm CD with a long music and a special video cable next to 5.25"DD floppy .with the help of an external CD Player you have the background music, better than SID

There is actually also an ext audio input on the video connector (pin 5 of the socket, to be precise). The TED volume control register has no effect on the volume of the mixed external audio signal. Mixing of the ext. audio signal to the TED's sound signal is merely done by a capacitor + resistor network (the TED doesn't know about the external audio signal, that is).

| External audio and volume control
Hello,
I have a question. Does the TED volume control register control the external audio volume too?
If I have understood correctly, the Plus/4 and C16 has no audio input on the video connector but the expansion port connector has. If I connect an audio source, a CD player for example, to the expansion port, the audio signal will be mixed with the TED voices and the result can be heard through the video connector (audio out pin)? If that is the case, does the volume control register control the mixed signal volume or just the TED voices?
