Re: Was there a Legionnaire Plus4 that was never released?

You could be right as I starting wondering my self after having some plays on a couple of games tonight. Skramble and Moon Buggy tapes are showing the game names including the C16 on the end of the FOUND file names.

Many more I'm sure and not just Anirog / Anco like you say. Wishful thinking I guess. wink

Or maybe in some cases they were keeping C64 & C16 stuff on the same disks so not to get mixed up? happy

Re: Was there a Legionnaire Plus4 that was never released?

Hmm... interesting idea, but I am somewhat reluctant to deem it realistic. Have a look at 3D Time Trek, the tape load does say "3D-TIMETREK-C16" or so, yet, there was no plus/4 version whatsoever either... I seem to recall more games like this... Start Chess, perhaps Tower of evil.

Was there a Legionnaire Plus4 that was never released?

I was playing last night on a real machine and there is reason to believe there might of been a Plus4 version of Legionnaire as the TAPE is named Legionnaire-C16. Maybe it was in the pipeline but never happened?
It makes no scene why it should be named with C16 on the end if it was a stand alone release. It's not named this way on the cover.

Also we know Jörg Dierks was a big supporter of covering both machines. Bridgehead as an example saw two version. It makes you wonder seeing as Legionnaire came first that they did not know what to do with a 32k or 64k version of the game. Maybe it was in the works but Kingsoft or Anco didn't want it?

Does anyone have the Kingsoft release to confirm the name on the TAPE or if you have the disc is also Legionnaire-C16 just like the Anco version?

One more thing. If there was a 32k or 64k version it never ended up in Udo Gertz hands... which could mean there never was anything other than the one we know of made.
