I think it's safe to say that I might have almost known what drive you have?!
I'd say that yours is also a Blue Chip drive, or at least made by Blue Chip, possibly under contract to another company.

I have an RF501C! It must be an older model then. I never new what company made it... Here is a few shots that I just took with my new digital camcorder
Note: the red RF501C letters on the top are stickers that I put on them years ago... The manual I used to have with it looked just like the one on the ebay picture...

What disk drive do you have? I remember that it was an unusual one.
Here's an RF-512 that is related to the Blue Chip RF-514 that was around back in mid-80's. Commodore sued Blue Chip on DOS copyright violations and won, therefore Blue Chip stopped selling Commodore-comptiable drives.
With this unit having a light colored case, it could be one of the last Blue Chip drives.
