It's a 486 DX4 75mhz. I have tried running the emulator with frame skip etc but I get no improvement in speed. Never mind it was fun fun trying. At the moment I am trying out the Windows Mobile Demo version on my PDA and that seems to work excellent, although a bit fiddly as everything is so small.

The latest version 1.42 of 'forever?' is at litwr.boom.ru/p4_download.html - it requires at least P200 for full speed. There is also possibility to use frame skipping. What is the frequency of you 468 CPU?

I think it's however too slow even for a 486. Have you tried the full trottle option? (ALT-W if I'm not wrong).

Ok, got the emulator running. It runs ok but unfortnately the best performance I can get is 6.1frames a second, a touch too slow me thinks.

Thanks for the info Guys. I have just picked the machine up and it works a treat, so hopefully later this evening I will have a C16 emulator running on it (fingers crossed)

Forever! is the better, and more updated. It features D64 full support and IEC drive support (just for example). Having a slow machine, you probably need a fast emulator, like this (it was totally written in ML). I think Litwr, its author, should be glad to give you any info you need.

I have just bought an old 486 Dell Notebook of Ebay for just under £5, full working order apart from the battery. This runs with Dos and Windows 3.11. Now is there and old C16/Plus 4 Emulator available that would run on this old machine?
