Current poll statistics

1551 - 27.74%
1541, 1541C, 1541-II - 43.97%
1571 - 8.9%
Adding 1571 to 1541 count makes 52.87%
Tape only - 14.66%

OK, so now I've added a vote for my newly arrived 1551, plus one more vote for each of the drives I have two of. This makes for a total of
1 1541
2 1541C
2 1541-II
1 1551

I didn't vote for my VC-1541 since it doesn't work properly.

Has Everyone Voted in the Disk Drive Poll?

Current stats (of 146 votes cast):
1551 = 30.82%
1541, 1541C, 1541-II = 41.10%
1571 = 10.27%
Tape = 14.38%
Ocean = 3.42%

In order to get an accurate count of the 1541 vs 1551, please vote once for each 5 1/4" unit you own. I will need this information when I prepare future D64 files that have DOS-reliant copy protection on them.

I hereby move that the next poll should be "How many people own or have access to a X-1541 type cable and a 1541 drive?", so that we can determine how many people have the capability of copying D64s to a real floppy disk. I know that many of us are using the emulators with D64 support, but some things just don't run right on the emulators.
