 Re: old italian language

Ok, let's give a try ;)

No more recover ("reprendo" might be also "bottling up"!)

By suave heaves
and high'n'sweet speaking
singing, which's in the soul
can be felt, it changed her

Dear me, who does, doesn't speak ("di" should be "di', abbreviation for "dire" transl:"speak")
who speaks, doesn't do
Since that day, hence,
Her life goes

I'll go up, her tired heart to the sky
I'll go up, and no more will recover (but "reprendo" might be also "bottling up"!)
Her life
All played up in mistake ("spenta" doesn't stay for "shut down", but for "spent" or "played up")
With no searching for peace
Without hope
I'll go up,to the sky her tired heart
Too many years flaring she kept Love

Graces whose few
The large sky destines
Look at the celestial work
'bout love, see the pain

Dear me, who can doesn't want
Who wants, doesn't can
Since that year, so
Her world goes.

I'll go up, her tired heart to the sky
To the sky, the tired heart I'll move up

Have mercy, Venus

All night
Seems that all the night long
Your sweetness attends me
And remember to me my fate

Venus
O divine Venus
Now I praise you in the end

Have mercy 'cause my worry
Have mercy, as now so many years passed
since I lived under my blame ("fascio", used by Petrarca first, should be "blame, "guilt")
Divine Venus, why 'bout me?

All night
Its seems I'm scared all the night long
I see again who I killed
Dear me, to live I've to kill.

Venus
O divine Venere
Now I praise you in the end...

Have mercy 'cause my worry ( etc... )

Happy soul
which never come back...

Have mercy 'cause my worry
Have mercy, as now so many years passed
since I lived under my blame
Tell me Divine why I live

Re: old italian language - OT

Not so easy to understand even for italian ppl like us, being ancient italian language (circa 1300s).
To translate it implies a deep knowledge of both ancient-italian and english, and pls mind that this is like a lyric.
BTW Chronos: automatic translators do not work fine: "dolce" means "sweet" not "cake".

 Re: old italian language

something like this:

Emma Shapplin-Reprendo Never More...
With the gentle sighs
with saying high cake
to sing, than of
spirit is felt,
to transformata Oime,
who makes not of Who not ago
Of that day thus
Its life goes Saliro,
its tired one cor to the ciel Saliro,
and reprendo never more
Its life All d' extinguished error
Without to try the peace
Without hope Saliro,
to ciel its tired one cor
Too much years burning it
held Amor Gratie
to little The ciel wide it assigns
You see l' to go celestial D' amor,
you see the flood Oime,
who can not vuò
Who vuò cannot Of that year thus
Its world goes Saliro,
the tired one cor to the ciel Or saliro,
and reprendo never more Its life
All d' extinguished error
Without to try the peace
Without hope Saliro,
to ciel its tired one cor
Too much years burning it held Amor Saliro,
the tired one cor to the ciel Al ciel,
the tired one cor saliro...

 old italian language

Hey, Anybody who speaks this languge
Can u help to translate me wtf?!? Like SVS or Luca or Pimpa ?
thx

Emma Shapplin-Reprendo Mai Più...

Coi sospiri soavi
Et col dir dolce et alto
'L cantar, che ne l'anima
Si sente, l'a transformata

Oime, chi fa non di
Chi di non fa
Di quel giorno cosi
Sua vita va

Saliro, suo stanco cor al ciel
Saliro, e reprendo mai più
La sua vita
Tutta d'errore spenta
Senza cercar la pace
Senza speranza
Saliro, al ciel suo stanco cor
Troppo anni ardendo tenne lei Amor

Gratie ch'a pochi
Il ciel largo destina
Vedi l'andar celeste
D'amor, vedi la piena

Oime, chi può non vuò
Chi vuò non può
Di quel anno cosi
Suo mondo va

Saliro, il stanco cor al ciel
Or saliro, e reprendo mai più
La sua vita
Tutta d'errore spenta
Senza cercar la pace
Senza speranza
Saliro, al ciel suo stanco cor
Troppo anni ardendo tenne lei Amor
Saliro, il stanco cor al ciel
Al ciel, il stanco cor saliro...

or this one...

Emma Shapplin-Miserere, Venere...

Tutta notte
Par che tutta notte
La dolcezza tua m'accompagne
É mi rammente la mia sorte

Venere
Ô diva Venere
Or ti prego al fin'...

Miserere del mio affano
Miserere, or volge tanti anni
Che io sotto il fascio mio vivo
Diva Venere, perche di' me

Tutta notte
Par che tutta notte ò paura'
Riveggio quelli ch'uccido io
Oime devo, per vivir uccidere !

Venere
Ô diva Venere
Or ti prego al fin'...

Miserere del mio affano ( etc... )

Alma felice
Che non torni piu...

Miserere del mio affano
Miserere, or volge tanti anni
Che io sotto il fascio mio vivo
Dime Diva perche vivo
