JamesC answers: The big "S" on his chest.

That was clear in the first place wink I just wondered about something like "normal registration". I'll contact you happy

Editors have level 2 access, they can edit the programs database. Super editors are levels 4-6, they have more access. It's just a distinction to recognize the people who contributed more.

Regarding registering: sorry if I wasn't clear before. If you'd like to register and get editing access, email me or Luca with your details.

Re: Corrections/additions members database and some trivia

Not really wink I totally missed the "early days" with MICRO MANIAC etc and I hadn't seen a demo until 1988/1989 I guess. Must have been one of MAT's Music Boxes happy
And I had never contact with the somewhat famous ones around 1989/1990 (A-System, MOS, ...) They were already fading out when I started.
The details I added were just about some people I met personally, which was the best thing ever (well, in plus/4 terms)... The "German scene" was very scattered and there wasn't that much of a party tradition like in the C64 scene or in the Hungarian plus/4 scene. So some smaller meetings (of course called PARTY) were already something special. Damn, I'm getting nostalgic happy

Introduce myself? I haven't even registered, yet happy Btw, how do I do that? I haven't seen any "register button" around and I liked that I could post without registering.

This new pal named C seems to know a lot about the german scene. What about officially introducing yourself? wink

wink

Csabo,
I think that was about everything I could add... maybe not happy I'll contact you or Luca whenever I feel like adding more. I guess it get these urges every now and then wink It does make sense if you don't need to copy 'n paste everything again from the forum.

Sidius asked: What is then the difference between an EDITOR and a SUPER EDITOR?

If you have the time, knowledge and energy to do this, you can make these changes yourself. We give anyone editing rights who ask for it, in your case I'm asking if you'd like some... Email me or Luca with your details.

 Who is who...

PCS
http://plus4world.com/gd.php?gid=7156
changed his handle to NEW CENTURY (see this "demo")...

http://plus4world.com/sd.php?pid=15310

He changed his handle frequently. Later on, he was known as "Dr. Who". His hometown (back then) was Peine. I think PCS also stood for "Peine Cracking Service" in the early days, I'm not 100% sure, though, and it's not that important.

Kruk
http://plus4world.com/md.php?mid=1394

is just another flavor of Kruss/Krussoft
http://plus4world.com/md.php?mid=1352

and I just read here
http://plus4world.com/sd.php?pid=13667
he changed his handle to "Protector".

Sorry for not putting this into one posting, I thought I was finished wink

 Maybe not ;)

This demo was written by KOD and not by DAN. And well, the screenshot proves that MAGNUM existed wink

Corrections/additions members database and some trivia

Marc Tellbach is Telly, correctly stated on Telly's page. He's not KOD, that should be corrected on KOD's page. Unfortunately, I forgot KOD's real name but I might have it in some old notes. So whenever I find, I'll let you know.

Some trivia you might want to add to APOS' page:
If you wondered where the name APOS came from: He wrote a random name generator and the first output he liked was APOS. Since the random numbers are not that random on plus/4 I was able to reproduce that name when I played around with that tool some years ago happy

Please add "Magnum" to the database, his real name is "Thomas Meyer". I have no idea what he is doing nowadays but in the early 90s he was quite active in the German scene. I'm not sure if he ever released anything but he did some graphics and there should be a small co-op demo including a logo pixeled by him. Maybe that demo is unreleased, though.

"First Demo" is not a "Charon" release. DAN (formerly known as TRN) has never been a member of "Charon".

That's it for now happy
