Did you have specific tests in mind? I acquired two 8551s from commodore_wizard on eBay, a Hungarian vendor, specifically for the L16.

Looking for MOS 6551/8551 (ACIA)

I'm looking for an ACIA chip. Well, ideally I would like to be able to get both a 6551 and an 8551.

I would like to purchase them, but we could also talk about borrowing them for some time.
