Thanks for looking. I send C't an email, and hope they can help me. The most important item in the article is the software around it.
The alternative built-in looks nice.

Unfortunately I also could not find the scanned documentation.
BTW, there was an alternative built-in solution, maybe you may find it also useful, though they used a Motorola 6821 IC instead of 6522 or 6551. https://www.forum64.de/index.php?thread/51671-c16-mit-zusätzlichem-io-port-6821/

I recently picked up a userport expansion for the C16.

As it seems to need a wire connected between the PLA and pin Z of the expansion port.
I found that this expansion is discused in C't magazin 9/86. so I'm now looking for a scan of this magazin, can someone help ?
