Maybe it’s just me but the castle resembles a probable early design of Dragon’s Lair.
Possible other relevant titles:
Some ADnD ?? The sorcerer of Claymorgue Castle Castle of Dragon

Also, back then photos taken directly from computer screens/TV's and used for printing always showed darker and more intense looking colors than you might of seen from the real machines.
Something else that was talked about here on the forum some year back was the 264's red with a digitized F1 Ferrari, it was more blood red and not warm Ferrari red.

Well, a pretty nice art with a decent dragon! I have to agree it is screen of a C64. The border color still look a similar to +4, but if you check the white color, it looks a little brighter than the Plus/4's white. In fact the total picture looks a little oversaturated (esp yellow and orange), but almost all 16 colors of C64 can de identified. Maybe purple and pink are missing, bt the mid of the dragon look pinkish... I do not know, why this picture is not better known, maybe that smiling sun ruined the total picture...

Don't know if it helps, but here it is (kinda) perspective corrected.
I tried reverse image search using the above, unfortunately it didn't help. It kinda rings a bell... I looked up a bunch of old games, including Save Me, Brave Knight - but it was none of those.

It might of been made with RP-System which I believe is game creating software for C64. I recall seeing an advert in an old magazine that had an image that looked to be drawn in the same art/brush style.
This was all I could find on the web, I grabbed the picture from a German forum. Link: https://www.forum64.de/index.php?thread/75062-das-rp-system/
If the above link does not display, open the link in a new tab...

Well Now when You wrote that I think it might be true. Colors are C64 like and there are some artifacts (like letter B and R) that might be sprites... Hmm Now you got me even more curious. I think I have to ask on C64 forums

There could be a chance the picture is a C64, some learning software in the style of Sandcastles maybe? Look at the border on the screen, it doesn't look as wide as 264, more C64?

Checked that picture from the box photos around, and I find it barely impossible to understand what's inside :o

I'm talking about this box http://www.richardlagendijk.nl/foto/cip/computer_c116_02.jpg and the picture the kids have on the screen (dragon and castle)
actually I started to recreate the pic. so far I have all the contours and flat coloring.
will let you know how and if I progress.
but I'm still curious if the picture actually exists in binary form

| C116 Box gfx art
Hi all As some of you may know my first computer ever was C116 in the German Box. You know - the yellow one with kids and a C116 screen with a dragon and castle. I was wondering if this picture of dragon and castle is actually a pic that is available out there in binary form? My idea is to make a remake of this picture In modern MFLI or interlace gfx modes but an original picture would help a lot. I would have not to re-create thes from the c116 box art. So? Is it available in any binary form here on the forum on in the Internet?
