Yeah, it ia fantastic project, very high demands on the machine, I am sure they are fighting for the single free byte.

It will not be feasible on the Plussy:
-When you check in the very details the map and icons, you will notice, that the 264 platform's 3rd color limitation would be very painful in this special case, causing bad/strange colors across the screen.
-Too many sprites happy

Partially OT:
-Actually it would be really great if something similar would be available like the C64/C128 REU, or a modified external SRAM card that could be easily used as a normal RAM with eg. 16K bank switching. (The battery saved content is not a must, but SRAM needs no special timing and refresh as the DRAMs, so easier to implement)
Unfortunately this one also need an expansion port splitter, so most probably it is based on a C64 design.

Kind of strange, that some historical RAM expansions require to cut some internal lines, while others just "plug in and enjoy" cartridges.
