Since then I happened to compile this emulator on Linux and contacted its author. He said that the development has not stopped but we should not hold our breath

In the meantime I may try to port it to Windows... Or maybe not

 Yet another "new" emulator, this time for Linux...

... and no, it is not xmess!

Instead it's called 'xc16emu', and I managed to compile and run it (as it is distributed in source code).

The first experiences are that this emu is of the less developped ones, only few, mainly c16 programs are working. You can find more info about it with screenshots on my forthcoming c16/+4 site, coming soon...

It seems to me that the development has been frozen, but since it's GNU GPL licensed, anyone can pick up the line .

unfortunately I don't have the link here, but you can search for it via Google (www.google.com).
