 Re: Yape avi creator

okay, don't panic!

Just try to open your saved "b/w 8bits grey" video in virtualdub, and let's see your decompressor's joke!
After follow Luca's note.

 Re: Yape avi creator

Ok I've installed a Codec pack. But still the produced movie, without compression is B/W. Inspecting the file VLC tells that format is "384x288 8 bits GREY".
Kindly anybody could attempt to do it? (Yape 1.0.2)
Thank you in advance.

 Re: Yape avi creator

SVS: VLC only has the DECoder part of the CODECs. Those are required to play various formats of input video. One of its most popular features that it has those decoders integrated into the player itself so there is no need to install and register CODECs into Windows.
Recording video is a different story. It requires the presence of the COder part of the CODEC and since most software with video creation options (recording, transcoding, etc.) uses standard Windows features to do that they need separate CODEC installed for that. Like the CODEC pack Luca mentioned.

Install a recent version of the K-Lite Codec Pack for XP (you decide if a full one or a normal one), then follow what I usually do wink

What do you suggest to install?
(Thank you).

 Re: Yape avi creator

It also depends by the codecs you've installed in your pc. Usually, I record with ff codecs at 100%, then I manage that file with VirtualDub, resaving it compressed at 80% with sound downgrading.

 Yape avi creator

I've just tried, after a long time, to create an .avi file from Yape (ALT-L). But I obtain only a B/W movie (using No compression format).
Is something changed, or am I wrong?
