called "What am I missing here?" started by Jim on 5-3-02. I think you'll have to go back into Sound Properties in Windows, and turn off everything but the SoundBlaster compatiability.

DirectSoundCreate error in Yape!

I am having problems with Yape. First it worked fine, even with sound, then when I restarted the program with use GDI ticked enabled I got a blue windows error message and the program kept crashing, so I installed the latest direct x 8.0 and that solved the crashing problem, but now the sound won't work and I get a message DirecSoundCreate failed, so I did the windows direct x sound troubleshooter and it didnt fix it. I have the latest drivers for my sound card and the correct device selected in Multimedia / audio properties so I have no idea what it could be!

Can anyone help?
