 Re: create empty .D64 image

In plus4emu, I included a disk.zip file which contains an empty D64 and D81 file which can be formatted with the basic "header" command. These files are basically just 174848 and 819200 zero bytes, though happy

Thanks Gaia. As we say:"If it was a snake it would have already bitten me"!

 Re: create empty .D64 image

In Yape you have a 'Create empty D64' checkbox in the File->Attach disk image menu point.

Or, you can create a file with some hex editor that is exactly 174,848 bytes and attach it to an emulator and format it.

Or, well, Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V in the Windows Explorer should do the trick if you have at least one D64 already happy

 create empty .D64 image

I've discovered I can create an empty .D64 image by attaching an existing one to YAPE and reformatting. But, how are they created in the first place - ex nihilo? Thanks.
