@RobertB thank you for sharing the pictures. It seems to be a really nice show.
I see there a CMD Hard drive, wow!
I have a C64 Ramlink from "Someone" that is able to manage properly that beast :-) The 14 pin connection cable alone costs more than a normal sized new SSD :-O

That C64c in black looks super cool :-)

@Sukkopera Well, Arok will be a similar occasion here, focusing on the 8 bit machines (sure, there are big ones in Germany and at the Normanns happy (Denmark, Sweden and like).

At Arok there are possbilities to make presentations about new or older hardwares, the SD1541/II had a presenation partially from the author, I also demonstrated once SFD-1001 with the IEC2IEEE interface (though I was a little drunken LOL good old days)

So the LittleSixteen V3 could have a nice demonstration there, very strong 264 community presence is granted.

There are so many great things in the project

BTW I am curious, if there are any 8 bit parties in Italy? It is not so that far from here. happy Seems I will have more possibilities to travel in the near future.

TBH I'm not too interested in presenting anything, but rather just meet people and have fun happy. If then I can do that while also enjoying good local beer, that would be a plus! :D

I don't think I have heard about any 8-bit parties in Italy, @Luca surely knows better. But I live in France/Switzerland now, so maybe I should check what's going on here. I don't think we have many members from these countries though sad.

@Sukkopera,
OFF thx for the information. Well France is at a little bigger distance that Italy, realy out of driving a car that far. Welcome here, though I have to admit only the local Hungarian craft beers are close to smoothness to Peroni :-)

Actually once I drove to Bergamo (what a nice city!) but it was a hell of 11 hours drive, also through the Alps.

@Majikeyric I'm curious are there any demo scene and fan activity for the French computers, like the Thomsom TO? As I know those computers had some popularity in Italy too.

Litwr in the few parties I attended I have never seen any Thomson computers and I'm not aware of any fan activities . Or it is very very small.
I don't remember if the Oric is french, there are still some fans but no dedicated party.
There is some activity for MSX and Atari ST(which obviously are not french).

Re: Photos - videos from Commodore Los Angeles Super Show 2024

Well, I'm at the France/Switzerland border, basically on the outskirts of Geneva, which means I can literally walk to the airport happy. I just had a look and I saw there are some flights to Budapest for as low as 22€, which is less than the cost of a good pizza by local standards!

Of course costs are much higher during weekends, which is when Arok takes place (plus I would have to get from Budapest to Ajka somehow) but well, I guess that's an option!

PS: Peroni is a terrible beer, there is sooooo muuuuch better stuff!

Would be great to meet happy

Anyhow, if Arok will take place the next time as the last one, we will not run out of space grin
(Peroni: I suppose, but this is what I drank when I was at Bergamo and Milan, and I can easily buy it here too )

Re: Photos - videos from Commodore Los Angeles Super Show 2024

First of all: Peroni a terrible beer? No kidding guys, Peroni is a honest undemanding cheap commercial beer, usually rated just a tad under the mid score. Glory to the cheap honest Peroni Nastro Azzurro! grin

Now, about reaching Ajka in 2024. I had to set my holidays for the summer at workplace, and at the very first thought, I tried to reserve some days in order to include Árok 2024 too into that schedule. Given that, I checked some classic solutions for the trip. Guys, believe me: ten years ago, I could easily reach Ajka in a couple of stops: there was a slow night train passing from Firenze at 22:30, I used to have a sweet nap on it and wake up on the Alps, to reach Wiener Neustadt in the early morning; time for a quick espresso, then take any of the Hungarian line trains pointing to Budapest, entering from Sopron and passing thru Szombathely (to who doesn't know, Szombathely is the oldest Hungarian city). Easy peasy.
In 2024, no slow trains in the night, you need to change train two or three times since Venezia, and you must wait for long! Even by plane you need three hours and a half to reach the airport in Ferihegy, and then turn back to your destination. Three hours and a half for a shorter trip than Paris, which needs in comparison less than 1:45! All in all, the scenario is nowadays worse than a dozen years ago, which is paradoxical in an era when literally everybody move around the world! sad

Re: Photos - videos from Commodore Los Angeles Super Show 2024

Wait, wait! Peroni Nastro Azzurro is an OK beer, I agree with that, but the "plain" Peroni (first picture from the top on Wikipedia) is one of the worst beer I ever had. I bought a box of 6 and I had to struggle to finish it sad.

On the other hand, last week I found some bottles of "Peroni Cruda" here in France, and that was already better.
