Subject: IDE
Hi Friends!

:-) Right now I'm pretty happy! I have finally put together a Plus4 IDE for the PC (the first one probably). It uses CodeMax as the editor, AS65 as the assembler and WinEMU to run the compiled programs. Some thoughts:

- CodeMax kicks ass. And it's free. www.winmain.com Syntax highlighting rulez!
- AS65 is also pretty good. After looking through 6(!) DOS 6502 assemblers,
I found this one to be the best. What are you guys using?
- WinEMU also kicks ass. I just hope I can convince Zsolt to add the
"command-line-autorun" feature (or release the source!!! ;-). This way you could have WinEMU load a program for you (your freshly-compiled code in this case) and run it. Minus4 DOS already does this (not sure about the Win32
version). Right now it's F8-select-run.

Anyways, as I said I am pretty happy about this, it's like a dream come true: code away on the PC in Plus4assembly and run it with a
*press-of-a-button*. Then back with another keystroke... So I can DEVELOP...
:-) Yeah!

So. Is anyone interested? I could put it up on the web. At first I wanted to do this without asking, but since neither the DisAssembler nor the Player generated much feedback I thought 'what for?'... Maybe you wanna start your own IDE, I would have been happy if I found something like this.

Back to demowriting...
