I don't know drive coding either, that part was done by BSZ.
Just look into the example directory, the code and build script should make everything clear. This stuff is self contained, I even included the acme assembler (Bitfire compiles with that), so you don't need anything else installed to get it working.
If you want to dive deeper, read the readme files first and maybe download the whole source code.
