By the sounds of it, he wants or is creating a tool that converts tapes once loaded into automatic PRG's for saving?
While this is very possible in theory, any program looking at games made in machine code will have to be told how each game needs to be saved. All the PRG's available now to download are that end result and are the very same thing...
Maybe it's something he wants to do on the real iron and has no means of getting downloads to it?
