You should get into footie at least temporarily just to cheer on your country, they're playing tomorrow. It's the biggest tournament in the world and the USA are doing really well and have a good chance of making the quarter finals. They last made the quarters in 2002, but what surprised me is that they actually reached the semi-final in 1930, the year the tournament was founded. Also between 1950/1990 they hadn't qualified at all, but since then they have been on the rise again, the sport really does seem to be taking off over there.
They're the country I'm now rooting for (as my fiancee is from Fort Collins herself, not far from you). The sport I like over there is Baseball, I've been to Coors Field to see the Rockies play (can't recall who against but the homies won it)
