Maybe try VICE C16/Plus4, I'm not sure how good the C16/Plus4 emulation is with that as I don't use it, but it should be more than good enough for what you need it for right now be it playing games to checking out stuff ect..., hope it works.

C16's are cooler than Plus/4's, as in there is a lot more room between the TED and the Keyboard for air to movie about inside. The Plus/4 is smaller and TED sits inside a metal shield case bang in the middle. With that in mind it would be easier to pin a heatsink to TED on a Plus/4 from the outer shielding. Generally though C16's TED or CPU fail less than Plus/4 so a bit more important to have a heat sink on a Plus/4 as it were.

I would not know how to hold a heat sink in place on a C16, I would love to see how it could be done. Maybe some plastic hair clips would do it,(not). wink
