Re: c64/vic20 to c16 Datasette adapter

OFF
Win7 USB keyboard failure is a known, unsolved issue, on my C2D based faster PC I have to use the virtual keyboard, no PS/2 socket any more... Duh.
Complete reinstall, you know what happy

I personally prefer Plus4Emu. It has great emulation level (though recently YAPE seems advanced a lot, while Istvan left this computer) and very good GFX and Sound emulation capabilities, you can play a lot with.
It needs a little more processing power, but runs great on my A64 3000+

For TED dying there were several topics. Most typical cause of "TED is dead" is the heat (some applied spartan Z80 IC heatsink) and the supppper autofire Joysticks of C64. The later may kill your TED within days, doing some short circuiting in the background with Autofire function. There was a topic how to select the right ones.
One more thing: reducting the indirect heat in Plussy is made by some smart guys by switching to newer type EPROM from ROM with the same content (if I remember well) and it reduced those ICs power consumption (and heat production) by 70%.

And I am the Off topc king! grin
