oohh, I though that 1571 burst mode is much faster. As read below, with Geos (i mean with a proper driver) 1551 was faster.
8250: i checked it: looks to big and ugly  SFD-1001 is much closer to my taste, and can be connected to IEC and IEE 488 too. Although i am sure that with IEC it is slow
