MMS: I can't find it now but I seem to remember to have read somewhere that you can order the datasette port adapter to be C16/plus/4 one instead of the C2N type.
Edit: found it at http://www.go4retro.com/products/uiec/:
"uIEC draws power via a cassette port “pigtail”. Thus, CBM SX-64, Plus/4, and C16 users must request alternate power supply functionality when ordering."
