I think we might distinguish between c16 and +4 games, after considering their possibilities.
My personal favorites were:
- Tom 16 for the C16 (awesome game in 12kb)
- Mercenary (first 3D first person shooter :-> )
These were outstanding games in terms of both technical merit and gameplay.

Yeah! I played it till the end. Cant remember much about it know...
All I can remember was some building at the start I could'nt get in, but there was a cheat to do it and the game was finished in 5 mins.. Long time, no play.
I do have this as a .prg some were, but can't work out how to load it as I think Mercenary.prg is looking for a tape drive ?? Would be better as a D64 files ?

I was the follow-up of the great first version.
Well, the graphics did not change at all, but it was much more difficult as long as I remember. I even drew a map for it.
Did anyone try it out?

If there ever was to be a best +4 game it would have too be 2.
Mercenary and ACE. ;-)
Took me a month to work out what object the lift was in Mercenary. All my old school friends loved this game.
