The C64 version does have a 2D view (see: http://www.gamebase64.com/game.php?id=5110&d=39&h=0) though that is offered as a separate program file on the disk, so maybe Pigmy either hasn't converted it or merged the 2 versions with an undocumented keystroke to switch to 2D.
