How does Icicle Works Un-Cut sound or even Wide Screen 
On the note of Propector Pete as a poor hack, this I would think is more the case of emulation.  You can see your code of radom objects on the screen is not corrrect with some emuluators I have also made a tap image of the original cassette:

But the PRG version has a bug You now have infinitive lives. The cool loading screen made it very hard to try and crack the game before the code started running So this was a cheap runstop-reset crack, but other than that its all there.
Icicle works was an intresting story. For some time we never have a full 100% working version. Over the last couple of years I had a collection of a number of bad cracks. Ati Author of YAPE http://www.keepitretro.com/plus4/ was the dude who saved the day, I sent him the bad cracks and he got to work and mixed 2 version into 1. Some testing was needed (playing the whole game) and on the second version he did it! Was great to see the complete game running under emulation! At the time TAP foramt was'nt even out on C16/Plus4 emulation.
Ah yeah the C64 version of icicle is out on Lemon 64, but I think it is a very bad crack (snif)
